Crock Pot Pho (Vietnamese beef pho)

I’m no expert at cooking, but I definitely make an attempt! So this week, I adventure out to try making pho from a crock lot. How hard can it be right? The little crock pot does all the work right?

I found the recipe here from Wandering Chopsticks!

First, gather all the ingredients and place the spices, clove studded onion, ginger and garlic into a mesh ball. Prewash the 1 to 1-1/2 lb of oxtail, to remove any impurities.

Second, toss 1 to 1-1/2 lb of oxtail bones, carrots, and mesh ball. Add salt and 2 tablespoons of fish sauce.

Add water till pot is full of water. Cover and let simmer on high for at least 6 hours.

Prepare ingredients for garish

Cook noodles based on packaging or purchase fresh pho noodles.

Once the noodles are cook, place noodles in a strainer and let cold water run through noodles to stop the cooking process.

Last add beef, depending on how rare you like it. Add beef slices to the pot to cook.
