Over the weekend, I spend some time looking for another cookie recipe to bake. I remember not to long ago, my friend from San Diego had this great chocolate chip cookie recipe that call for ground oatmeal. Upon searching my email for the recipe, I couldn’t find it. However, I google something similar. (Mrs. Field’s Chocolate Chip Cookie)
I found this Neiman Marcus Cookie Recipe. It is definitely some history to it. The link to the story can be found at the bottom of this page, for those interested. The story may or may not be true. Possibly not, who would pay that amount for a cookie recipe?
Nonetheless, the cookie is quite tasty. The ground oatmeal is definitely something to add for texture.
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 cups oatmeal
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
12 ounces chocolate chips
1 4-ounce Hershey bar
1 1/2 cups chopped nuts.
1. Heat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Cream together butter and both sugars. Stir in eggs and vanilla.
3. Grind oatmeal fine in a blender and add, with flour, salt, baking powder and soda. Grate Hershey bar in a blender or processor and add, with chocolate chips and nuts.
